• Euro Wise Truck is reorganising its Aylesham, Kent site so it can stock up to 50 used trucks instead of about 30. "We've got 930m2 of warehousing here. and we'll be making use of that to allow us to display vehicles under cover,says director Peter Hassan, who now has former MAN executive David Drake working with him.
Hassan reports a strong demand for late-registered left-hand drive 400hp-plus tractor units.
"We've sold five left-hand drive 1995/96 N-registered Volvo FH12-420 6x2s with Globetrotter cabs in the past month at almost £40.000 each," he says, He offers a finance lease which he argues is in practice much better for most hauliers than the seemingly-generous contract hire deals touted by the manufacturers.
