Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

In reply to your feature on agency drivers (CM10-16 June), I am a freelance driver qualified for Class 1, ADR, Hiab, forktruck and skip wagon. If I have no work, I work for an agency.

I was an owner-driver before and hope some of these companies treat their agency drivers better than they treat subcontractors, because it was often a struggle to get paid.

I also drive low-loaders, indivisible loads and take on continental work.

There must be more drivers (agency and/or freelance) who take a pride in their work—we can't all be bad.

Jim liaison, Kendal, Cumbria,
