IN AAH Distribution Services' has doubled sales and net margins in the year to end March but says its white-hot buying spree has temporarily cooled.

Managing director Tony Black says newcomers to the group made significant contributions to last year's gains.

Sales hit 125.4m (1992: £12.1m); and trading profits quadrupled to £2.8m (ammo) in the full year. The group's transport subsidiaries are; Dorchester Transport Services; Grantham Road Services; K & M Hauliers; John W Taylor Watts Bros; ASuthrill; Leeline Commercials; ECE Distribution Services and Bayliss Holdings.

Black says he will now concentrate on expanding through new contracts. The company's "first significant prime distribution contract with a drug manufacturer" started earlier this month.
