Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE Department of Transport has made arrangements for the allocation of a limited amount of French permits to operators who have not so far held a general quota allocation.

All operators who have shown their need to go to France by using the "self-help" co-operations or road/rail schemes in 1981 have already been offered a general quota allocation for 1982 by the International Road Freight Office.

Companys without general quota permits who cannot use either "self-help" or road/rail schemes can apply to the IRFO for one of the limited number of permits available.

Applications must be made on a SNC/82 form from IRFO at Westgate House, Westgate Road, Newcastle-upon-Tyne NE1 1TW, by August 20, 1982.

SEALINK UK has recorded a 50 per cent increase in ro-ro traffic over the same period last year on Dover/Folkestone to Boulogne and Calais routes for the first six months of 1982.

The introduction of new ships on the Dover/Calais route has played a significant part in attracting traffic to Sealink.
