AN appeal for the support of the travelling public in a protest against tours restrictions is being made by the Lancashire•Coach Operators extended Tours Committee. Posters are being issued to coach proprietors and booking agents throughout the area, asking passengers to sign a petition issued by the committee or to write to their M.P.
"By a ruling of the Traffic Commissioners," says the notice, "tours are to be restricted and unless you bestir yourselves and help us to fight the battle of popular motor-coach holidays versus monopoly and restriction, this season may be the last you will enjoy this type of holiday."
