According to figures just issued by the Dominion Bureau of Statistics at Ottawa, Canada produced 179,054 motor vehicles in 1927. This output was 13 per cent. less than the record of 1926, which totalled 204,727 vehicles, and was the first decline for the past three years. The past year's output was made up of 137,290 private cars, 29,603 commercial vehicles and 12,161 chassis, the aggregate being valued at 115,004,228 dollars.

During 1927 24,858 1-ton commercial vehicles were built, 3,083 vehicles of 8S,831,668 dollars. The total Canadian registrations for 1927 of all motor vehicles numbered 945,672, an inerease of 108,878 vehicles over 1926.

State-owned Postal Buses.
