This very progressive firm is of old-established fame in the supply of mineral-oil lubricants. For over half a century the house has supplied many of the leading industrial consumers of oils throughout the world. At the present time they are supplying cylinder oils to such well-known firms as Fodens, Burrell, Ayeting and Porter, Belsize, etc. Samples showiug the various grades of oils and greases are to be seen on their stand. We might-mention that the company enamel special tins to suit customers' requirements.

[STAND 190.] Price's oils are by now almost a household word in the mouth of the user of motor vehicles. Six casks of oils, comprising lubricants for gas-engines and eylioders, take up the major portion of this stand, On shelves, however, will be found a range of greases and lubricants for many purposes which serve to show the large range of lubricants and oils which the Price Patent Candle Manufacturing Co., Ltd., manufactures. The whole are severely tested.

To addition to the usual productions of thiscompany, consisting of oils, greases, oil-cabinets, and similar productions, is a gearbox which is shown in operation using Ambrolium, With a speed of 500 r.p.m. and with Ambrolium in the box, the top of the gearbox can safely be removed, and it will be seen how well the lubricant follows the teeth when running without cutting channels, or running dr:y. The freedom from splashing. and the small quantity of grease required, will do much to convince the visitor of the value of this lubricant for the gearbox.

Car and General Insurance Corporation, Ltd., 1, Queen Victoria Street, E.C. [STAND 102.]

Insurance is a matter that. should interest users, and in this line the Car and General are, of course, specialists, with a long experience of conditions and requirements. They issue a number of policies, of which three excellent examples are the " A," " B " and " 0" business-motor policies, these covering various sums from £500 to any amount for third-party risks, £100 to full value for accidental damage, and £300 to full value for fire risks. The preasiums vary according to the population of the town in which the vehicle is used—a practical classification—whilst the variation of premium according to private-car needs has been discontinued in these particular policies.

Vacuum Oil Co., Ltd., Caxton House, Westminster, S.W. [STAND 94.] The elaborate stand of this company should attract the attention of visitors. A dado of the well-known Mobiloil tins makes a striking wall-paper scheme. The great attraction of the stand, however, is an octagonal cut-glass show-case rising from floor to ceiling, in which the whole range of oils and greases supplied by the company is exhibited in glass tubes of varying shape and size. The various oils are indicated by green tickets on them, and an expert raconteur of lubricants past, present and, of course, future is in ready attendance to explain the buyer's wants on the basis of horse-power.

C. C. Wakefield and Co., Ltd., 27, Cannon Street, London, E.G. [STAND 109.]

Here is a well-known maker of lubricating oils and greases which has erected a cleverly-decorated stand, with an array of standard products. In evidence of the. interest with which its different oils and greases are received, it is sufficient for us to stale that, many of the leading engine manufacturers are using Wakefield products to the exclusion of all other oils and greases. They enjoy an increasing sale.
