[STAND 10.1 This stand contains three smart examples of commercial-vehicle bodywork, although Bayley bodies are to be found mounted on various chassis on other stands. A smartly-finished van body on a 14-16 h.p. Belsize chassis is one of the exhibits, whilst an imposing vehicle is the lorry body on a Hallford chassis for Hoare and Co., the brewers. This body has high open sides and is well finished in every respect, which remark applies equally to the van body on the B2 type Thornycroft. This last-mentioned exhibit is an excellent example of the capacious van of smart appearance designed for town delivery work, and has been built to the order of Smithers and Sons, of Brighton. The look of the body is improved by the high side doors with mahogany bead, while the driver's protection is enhanced by a high extension of the dash. There is a door through from the driving seat to the interior of the van, and the general appearance of the vehicle is distinctly improved by the domed type of mudguard employed. Christopher Dodson, Ltd., 81, Page Street, Westminster, S.W. r STA ND 11.] This Westminster company has an attractive exhibit, of which the principal features are the omnibus bodies on Straker-Squire and Daimler chassis. The former conforms to the Metropolitan Stage Carriage requirements for a double-deck body, but the finish, both exterior and interior, is above the average. The seating is arranged both transversely and longitudinally inside, the cross seats being to the front. The woodwork of the seats is of oak, and the upholstery iss of green plush. The Daimler chassis is of the 3-2 li.p. type, the details of which are too well known to need enumerating ; it carries a 25-seated body with the seats in tiers char-a-banes fashion, but with a central passage, and no side doors. It carries mahogany-framed windows which are fitted with sun blinds, and these, when not required, roll up unobtrusively. The entrance is at the front part, the driving ssat and the roof being adapted for luggage. A ladder' at the rear of the bottom section stows beneath the body when not in use.
