Load. H.P. Drive. Price (a)

This company shows two of the well:known chassis made by Benz. The heavy model of this type employs a four-cylinder engine having a bore and stroke of 135 mm. by 150 mm. respectively, the horsepower being 45-60. The gearbox gives four speeds and reverse, while final drive is by chain. Continental twin tires 1050 mm. by 160 mm, are fitted to the rear wheels. This is a fine "beefy " model, well adapted to stand the hard wear and tear of every-day service. It is classed by the maker as a six-tonner.

The lighter model also employs a four-cylinder water-cooled engine which has a bore and stroke of 105 mm. by 150 mm. respectively, and with the cylinders cast in pairs. The drive is taken through a. disc clutch to the gearbox, which gives three speeds and a. reverse, and thence by shaft to a bevel-driven back axle. The load capacity of this machine is 1 ton. Great detail care has been exercised in th3 construction of both these models. The components generally down to the many grease cups are all extremely accessible, as is practically the whole of the chassis. The lighter machine is admirably adapted to the requirements of the user who desires a. well-equipped model capable of giving good service at a minimum of expense.
