COACHING METHODS • The Bus and Coach Council is holding its annual coaching conference at the Tower Hotel, London on 2 March.

The one-day conference, it costs 244 (ex-VAT) to attend, will cover the growth of national and international coaching with a series of workshops and visiting speakers.

BUS 1111111411COACH COUNCIL ECONOMY DRIVE • The Institute of Mechanical Engineers, in conjunction with the Institute of Road Transport Engineers, is holding a one-day conference on 7 February called Improving operating economics of commercial vehicles.

'Ile conference, to be held at IMechE's London headquarters, covers ways of improving fuel consumption and testing aerodynamic vehicles.

The cost is 2115 for IMechE, and co-sponsor members and 2143.75 for non-members.

SCAMNIELL CLUBBING • The Scannell Owners & Enthusiasts Club has three

events scheduled for this spring. On 6 February it will hold a social evening at the Old Station, Rushden, Northants. Its AGM is OD 6 March at the Post House, Crick, Northants, and will include a guest speaker with a slide and photo show.

The Easter gathering will be at the Bass Museum of Brewing History at Burton on 30 March and 1 April, where many examples of the marque will be on display.
