• A new network of express parcel carriers wants to recruit 13 more owner-operators.
The European Distribution Consortium was established four months ago and already has 29 members. It is looking for hauliers with three to 12 vehicles, who have a depot and some existing parcels customers. There is no joining fee and members operate under their own names.
The consortium was set up by 10 former members of another parcels network, IPS. They hope to move away from light freight and concentrate on parcels, while also developing Continental work.
