Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AN improved warranty on Bedford trucks and coaches will take effect from February 1 and will cover 12 months or 24,000 miles, whichever is reached earlier. Previously the warranty has covered 12 months or 12,000 miles, and this still applies as far as Vauxhall cars and Bedford light vans are concerned.

The extended mileage provision for trucks and coaches will be effective for vehicles already in operation on warranty repairs completed on or after February 1.

New A.E.C. Leasing Terms

THE Astley Leasing Co. has announced 1964 terms in its scheme for the leasing of A.E.C. commercial vehicles. For transactions "of normal size ", its standard rates will be 36 monthly rentals of £29 5s., or 48 rentals of £22 5s., or 60 rentals of £18 15s. for every £1,000 of capital value. These figures are for the primary leasing period, after which the rental falls to a nominal £3 a year for an agreed secondary period. Special terms will be quoted for " substantial " transactions involving the higher priced units or a number of vehicles.

Under the previous Astley scheme for A.E.C. leasing, terms were 36 rentals of £31 10s. 10d., or 48 rentals of £24 I 1 s. 8d., or 60 of £20 8s. 4d. The "secondary-period" rentalwas £12 p.a.

Astley has stated that, as well as its A.E.C., Leyland and Commer-Karrier leasing schemes, arrangements for the leasing of two other well-known makes of vehEcle will be announced shortly.

Specialist Plastics Sales 11DRITISH RESIN PRODUCTS LTD, a -1-) Distillers Plastics company and a leading producer of polyester resins, has formed a specialist section to handle all the company's sales to the reinforced plastics industry. All B.R.P. materials based on polyester resins arc now being handled by the reinforezd plastics section of the Cellobond binder resins department. Polyester dough moulding compounds, formerly marketed under the trade name Rockite, are now re-designated Cellobond and will in future be included among the products marketed by the new section.

G.M.C. Engines for Aveling-Barford Dumpers AMERICAN G.M.C. 12V-71-N65 diesel engines are now being offered in Aveling-Barford SN 35-ton and SN 30-ton dump trucks as optional equipment. This V engine has a maximum power output of 476 b.h.p. at 2,100 r.p.m., with a peak torque rating of 1,300 lb. ft. at 1,300 r.p.m. When the G.M.C. engine is installed the dumpers will be available with either Aveling-Barford's own conventional sixspeed transmission or the Allison CLBT 5960 semi-automatic transmission.
