ARGEST application to be .noted this week is in the Western " As and Ds" wh,.!re B. C. Hicks, of Castle Cary, Somerset, has applied for a B licence in respect of II tippers to work for Foster Yeoman Ltd. " any distance ". Another condition sought concerns excavated materials, and the application is annotated to the effect that if granted, Contract A licences will be surrendered.
A fairly substantial application appears in the Scottish publication in the form of an A variation. Sam Anderson, of Newhouse, seeks 10 articulated tipping units, with an additional 10 flat semi-trailers, foialternative use, to carry a variety of goods over a wide radius.
In the Northern Area. Alfred Golightly and Sons Ltd., of Bishop Middleham. has applied for a • new B licence authorizing seval tippers to carry goods for a named customer and associated companies ithin 150 miles.
