STATISTICS just issued show that the number of new petrol and oilengined goods vehicles registered in November, 1940, was 400, the class heading the list being the 2-21-tormers with 134 registrations, followed by the categories covering the limitations of 24 tons and 5 tons, which total 97. In addition, 32 electric goods vehicles were registered, 18 of them falling into the 12-cwt.-1-ton division.

In the same month 115 hackney vehicles were licensed, the great majority of them being• double-deckers. So far as exempt vehicles are concerned, 390 were licensed, 156 of them being Government owned. Tractor registrations were very few and totalled only 5.
