'OLIC E ARE APPEALING for titnesses after a man had his van tolen at gunpoint in Manchester. The incident happened at 6.20pm n 16 February as the victim was utting his tools away into the back f a white Ford Transit van on a uilding site on Bloomfield Drive. He was approached by a man who held a gun to his side and ordered him to move away from the vehicle while he got into the driver's seat. The thief was then joined by another man who got into the passenger side.

They drove away along Fairy Lane; the van was later found abandoned on Derby Street. The offender is described as white, in his early twenties, slim,5ft 10in tall, with a thin, clean-shaven face. He was wearing a black tracksuit.
