Herr Hitzinger, an Austrian, was previously managing director of Austria's leading steel company, Vereinigte Osterreichische Eisen-und Stahlwerke AG, of Linz.

MR. T. F. CARTER has been appointed resident representative at the new branch office of Bowmaker, Ltd., at 34 High Street, Wick, Caithness. MR. G. J. SIMMONS, hitherto representative at Birmingham, has been appointed resident representative at Shrewsbury branch in succession to MR. L. CHAMBERS, who is now transferred to Gloucester branch.

MR. B. G. HILL has been appointed export sales manager of Ferodo, Ltd. He joined the company in 1953 and was transferred to the department responsible for trade with the British Commonwealth, the Middle East and Far East, in 1957, assuming full charge the following year. GEOFFREY DUKE, world champion racing motorcyclist, has been appointed by Small and Parkes, Ltd., to be distributor of Don automotive products in the Isle of Man.

MR. JACK MILLIVIAN, formerly sales director of Lawson Pigott Motors, Ltd., Barnet, has been appointed to the board of Savages Motors, Ltd., mainVauxhall and Bedford dealers for Brentwood.

MR. FRANK BIUDGEMAN MORSE has been appointed Southern area secretary of the Road Haulage Association in succession to Mr. John W. Hescroff who retires on March 31.

MR. K. S. SEAL has been appointed by Small and Parkes, Ltd., to be senior representative in charge of their depots at Swansea and Cardiff. He was formerly with the sales organization of Transport Equipment (Thornycroft), Ltd., in Cardiff.

MR. JAMES OLDROYD, who has been secretary of The British Electrical and Allied Manufacturers' Association since 1952, has been appointed general manager of The Lead Development Association. He will take up his new duties at the beginning of April.

MR. L. S. HIGGThrs has been appointed traffic manager, East Yorkshire Motor Services, Ltd., in succession to MR. G. M. NEWBURY. Mr. Higgins joins East Yorks from Maidstone and District Motor Services, Ltd., where he was assistant traffic manager. He was previously with East Kent Road Car Co., Ribble Motor Services, Ltd., and Northern General Transport Co., Ltd.
