Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I N this day and age we hear of and have seen some wonderful inventions—television, radar, electronics, computers and now spaceships. But could not someone, wishing to make a fortune and with an interest in saving the haulage and motor trade millions of pounds and headaches, invent an apparatus which would reveal on a dial the approximate gross weight of a vehicle. Once invented, I am sure this would be a compulsory fitment to all commercial vehicles.

This challenge surely should not be beyond the capabilities of our back room boys. Wake up, Avery Ltd., or you will be caught napping.

ROBERT WILSON, M. A. Wilson and Sons.

Duntermline, Fife. Contractors.
