He said that 1.736 applidations for direct road transport of loads between 14 and 20 ft. wide had been approved, and 323 rejected. For Loads more than 20 ft. wide there were 17 approvals for direct road transport, 11 for short .journeys to and from docks and railheads, and eight rejections.
