Dn. H. F. lawoRru, M.Sc., B.ENG., M.I.MEcH.E., chief technical officer of Leyland Motors, Ltd., left England on Saturday last for South America. He is undertaking an extensive tour on behalf of the company in the Argentine, Uruguay and Brazil.
MR. CECIL LISTER, the youngest of the five brothers on the board of R. A. Lister and Co., Ltd., of Dursley, has been appointed director of the company's activities in the home country. He has been a director of the company for 10 years and has travelled extensively abroad on its behalf. MR. R. W. SEwmr, national director of Associated Road Operators, underwent an operation for appendicitis on Friday of last week. We are pleased to hear that he is making good progress towards recovery.
On April 16, MR. E. L. CADWALLADER, joint general manager of C.A.V.Bosch, Ltd., was presented with two handsome souvenirs of his 25 years' service with the company, one from his old friends and colleagues and the other from the concern. In making the presentation, Mr. C. A. Vandervell spoke in the highest terms of Mr. Cadwallader's efforts for the company.
MR BRIAN F. LUCY', Of the technical staff of Leyland Motors, Ltd., is shortly to sail for New Zealand, where he will collaborate with the Govern, ment railways and the New South Wales Railways in the building of the Leyland railcar, now in hand.
