Plessey Co. Ltd. announces that the sales office at Wales Farm Road, Acton, has been closed down and that future requests should be made direct to Bathgate. S. D. T. Henderson, after 40 years' service, is giving up day-to-day management responsibilities but remaining with the company as sales consultant. Mr. Henderson's former duties are being taken over by John Farrington.
Goodyear Tyre and Rubber Co. (GB) Ltd. has appointed J. G. Edgar as manager, agricultural. earthrnover and industrial tyre department. Mr. Edgar was an account executive. S. E. Comport, formerly in the management engineering division, has been appointed manager, administration, manufacturers' sales division.
..I. W. Roberts Ltd., a Turner and Newell company, has reorganized its insulation sales territories. Territories are now as follows: Midland—under G. Kay, operating from Rugby; Northern—B. Gregson, Norwich: London/Southern—F. Garlick; Scottish/Northern Ireland—A. Duncan, Glasgow.
The Firestone Tyre and Rubber Co. Ltd. has announced that W G (Billy) Teale has joined its Mileage Sales Division_ He was previously area service supervisor, and will now cover the Midlands and North East.
C. V. (Sales and Repairs) Ltd. has announced that F. Monks is retiring at the end of September. Mr. Monks, who is branch manager at Penarth Road, Cardiff, in his many years in the industry has also worked for Thorneycroft and AEC Ltd.
