Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

'THE E.CE Working Party on Construction

of Vehicles, meeting in Geneva last month, recommended that governments should provide in their domestic laws and regulations that amber reflex reflectors should be mounted on each side of motor vehicles longer than 8 m., as well as on each side of trailers and semi-trailers longer (including draw-bar) than 5 in. A draft rule on direction indicators, as already established, has been re-examined.

Other rules in the course of preparation which have been discussed relate to fog lights, direction indicators with two levels of illumination (the night lights are less bright than those used during the day), stop lights of one or two levels of illumination, red rear lights and side lights.

Tyre Prices Up: All tyre prices of five big firms—Dunlop, Pirelli, Firestone, Goodyear and Michelin—have been increased by 4 per cent (10d. in the pound). Export prices are not affected_
