Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A 11 credit to Harsh for _tithing an eight-wheeled tipper comfortably to 9' It is untrue, however, to state that this is double the achievement of "the new underfloor gear launched by the UK's biggest front-end gear manufacturer".

Earlier this year a Volvo eight-wheeler with Edbro stabilised underfloor rams was successfully tilted to the 70 that qualifies for the Category A standard of tipper stability set by the Institute of Road Transport Engineers in its code of practice. Regrettably the Edbro test was not witnessed by the press,

but there is no reason to doubt the company's declaration, which carries legal obligations in terms of trade description and product liability.

It is a pity, too, that neither company has tilted to the overturn point. The data would have pmvided a cross check with theoretical calculations and then improved the scope for more accurate estimation of stability and structural stresses so that there would be enough confidence in mathematicsbased declarations of conformity to IRTE stability codes, Category A (7') or Category B (51 without the expense of physical testing.

My sensitivity to the issue stems from my chairmanship of the IRTE study group that prepared the code of practice on tipper stability.
