Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

PETER KILDUFF, of the City of Oxford Motor Services, is 1977 UK Bus Driver of the Year.

Peter beat 72 rivals to take the title at Motec, High Ercall, on Sunday.

The final, organised by the RTITB, was contested by competitors who had won heats held throughout the country.

The UK Bus Driver of the Year Competition is for stage and express carriage drivers from companies and undertakings participating in the organisation of the competition.

This year's event was one of the most successful so far, although London Transport, the Scottish Bus Group and many of the larger PTEs were absent.

The competition consists of a theoretical test on the Highway Code and questions relating to drivers' legal obligations, followed by a programme of manoeuvring tests.

A recognised road safety event, UK Bus Driver of the Year has representatives from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) and the RTITB as well as members from the competing undertakings and the Transport and General Workers Union (TGWU) on its national organising committee.

The undertakings competed in two sections, one from the North and one from the South, the winners of the sections competing in a final to find the UK Bus Driver of the Year.

Winner of the North section was Richard Robinson of Cumberland, and the winner from the South was Paul Roberts of Midland Red.

In the final competition third place went to driver Dermott McHale of the West Midlands PTE; second was Richard Robinson of Cumberland.
