FREIGHT BONALLACK Ltd of Norwich has won an order to supply 488 temperature-controlled food stores, to Saudi Arabia, in an overall contract worth £5 million installed. Each store, which features a special bonded insulated wall design, has its own cooling unit to enable pre-packed meals to be stored for up to 10 days in an ambient temperature of 115°F. Every unit will be supplied with a stand-by generator, mains electricity connection, insulated single-leaf door, interior lighting, table and adjustable shelving.
London takeover
TRANSMAN Hire Services Ltd has bought the London operation of Temeside Vehicle Rental Ltd, the lorry, van, and car self-drive company with headquarters at Ludlow. Transman has taken over the offices and workshops at Brentford, all London-based staff and several vehicles. All other Temeside rental locations, especially Birmingham and Bristol, will continue — with Transman in London — to service each other's customers out of each other's areas.

PANDORO— part of P & 0 Unit Loads — is getting faster, more accurate and less complex shipping documentation transmission and handling since the introduction of IBM . 3740 equipment at Fleetwood, Lame and Dublin. The new system, designed to meet Pandoro's particular requirements, has reduced the 21/2-hour telex time for complete shipment details of any given sailing time to 15 minutes, with the risk of errors reduced.
Rydale Trucks
AILSA TRUCKS (London) Ltd, of Sewardstone Road, Chingford, London, has been disposed of by the Ailsa Trucks Group to the Ryland Group who will continue to operate the depot, as a Volvo Truck and Bus distributorship, under the name of Rydale Trucks Limited.
