rrEs-rs carried out by the Esso Petroleum Co., Ltd., over the past four 'years. in which 24 vehicles operated by the Oxford Co-operative Society have been engaged, have shown that the use of improved petrol and oil can greatly reduce deposits and wear.
Some experimental combinations of fuel and oil which have been used, have given such great improvements that overhaul periods have been more than doubled.
This is a long-term research project which will he continued with the object of formulating even' better petrol and oil than are now available.
