• Truckline, Brittany Ferries' freight service, is aiming to beat French strikers and help UK hauliers avoid any blockades this winter.
A "By-Pass" service will run From Poole to Santander in response to extended weekend vehicle restrictions and a predicted renewal of French strike action.
The service, which will leave on Friday evenings and return on Monday afternoons, will come on line near the end of November.
