Mr. Ernest Marples, brings to his job the driving force of a selfmade man who left grammar school, learned to be an accountant and, after the war, was the head of his own engineering company. He delights in seeing for himself When his company were rebuilding one of London's biggest docks, he went down in a diving suit to find out what went on under the water.
