I N a reserved decision in proceedings " the result of acute difference of view between Blackpool Corporation traffic department and the chief constable, which all efforts had failed to resolve,'" the chairman of Preston Quarter Sessions dismissed an appeal by a Blackpool bus driver, against a conviction for not producing a certificate of insurance or ownership and for failing to report an accident. Appellant contended that having reported the accident to his superior he had done all that was required of him.
BRADFORD-NEWCASTLE ' TROLLEYBUS TRANSFERENCE
THE sale to Newcastle Corporation of 10 older-type six-wheeler doubledeck trolleybuses owned by Bradford Corporation has been recommended by the latter's passenger transport committee. The arrangement has been made at the instance of the Ministry of War Transport. The Newcastle undertaking, which needs extra vehicles for winter service, was unable to obtain any of the trolleybuses which, built for service in Johannesburg, were sold to Bradford and other towns in this country because of war-time conditions.
