Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

MT. JAMES WRIGLEY, Motor Garage, Edward Street.—Ono of our illustrations on the next page is of a mixed fleet of charsa-banes employed by this well-known Blackpool owner, These vehicles consist of a 24 h.p. Leyland 20-seater, a 30-40 h.p. Durham-Churchill 24-seater, and two 24 h.p, Napier 16-seaters. The Levland has been in Mr. Wrigley's possession about 18 months, the DurhaneChurehill since March last, whilst the two Napiers were only purchased in July. The daily runs, as a rule, are from Blackpool to Morecambe (a journey of (n0 miles return), to Southport and back {80 miles), while a speciary-long trip to Windermere, one which is popular in Blackpool, and which adds up to 120 miles for the round trip, has frequently been run during the past season. Mr. Wrigley tells us that the weekly mileage run by each vehicle is between 400 and 500, and it is particularly interesting to note that he is using benzole with satisfactory results. He has been getting more mileage, and he finds that the engines invariably pull better with this fuel, a result. which corresponds with the experience of other users of this particular spirit. "The season here has been a record one, owing, I suppose, to the

continued fine weather. It may interest you to know that I have placed an order for several more Napier chassis for next mason. My experienca is that the 16-seater vehicle is much better adapted for one roads, as they arc narrew and winding. It is a fact, too, that the 16-seater char-a-banes is more popular will the passengers than is a bigger vehicle. This result is accruing all round the coast.

Owing to the fact that there is very little commercial-re-hide traffic in Blackpool during the winter season, this owner makes no attempt to employ machines between whiles. It only remains to add that Mr. James Wrigley, in addition to his enterprise in respect of chars4-hanes, is the owner of a. fine fleet of private-hire landaulet and other cars.
