I] iremen are used to being called out to all manner of emergencies, ranging from a blazing inferno to a cat stuck up a tree. Then there are just plain idiots, who get
themselves in a tight squeeze for no good reason.
Into this latter category must surely fall the 12 policemen at Gravesend police station who got stuck in a lift designed for six. One suspects the fire officers failed to mask their sniggers with sympathy
