Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

T am sick of reading Brian 1Revell's claim that he stopped a £70-a-week pay cut to Bass drivers ("Brewer's scoop", CM9-15 November). This is completely incorrect.

After lengthy consultations at each primary distribution site, a pay cut was imposed with some compensation at all sites, except Sheffield and Cape Hill.

Sheffield Brewery has closed so they were not included, but Cape Hill refused any reduction in pay and primary drivers were made redundant at the end of October.

This pay cut only affected primary, not secondary, drivers. The reason given for the pay cut was to bring primary operating costs into line with contractors arid therefore secure jobs.

This pay cut has been in force for nearly three years. The TGWU could not stop this reduction and neither did Revell, so would you please stop printing his claim that he did.
