• RHM Ingredients has
appointed to operate a French shuttle dis tribution service using Le
Shuttle. It will deliver ingredients from Ossett, Yorks to customers throughout Europe. Harris already has a £9m/five-year UK distribution contractor with RHMI, • Nexus Logistics is to distribute Mantel! Polyolefins' products around the UK on a contract basis. Nexus will carry goods from Montell's plant in Carrington, Manchester.
• TidcI Trailer has supplied 10 40ft tandem-axle and three 33ft single-axle streamliner semi-trailers to Argos. Tidd says the trailers' smooth bodies will reduce fuel bills.
• Home decor company Crowson Fabrics has appointed Parceline to carry all its subsidiary and shorthaul international deliveries of fabrics and wallpapers. Parceline says Crowson's warehouse cut-off time has been extended by 2hr 30min by the move.
• Iceland has renewed its five-year/5m contract with frozen foods distributor Frigoscandia: Iceland leases more than half of Frigo-scanclia's Stratford cold store.
• Electrical retailer Tandy
has chosen T.Di)er br.,ten as its sole UK distribution contractor. T&B has a fiveyear deal to distribute from Wednesbury to 346 shops and 150 dealers.
