CV output fell by nearly 18% during October to 17,144—more than 2,000 down on September's figures and nearly 4,000 below the 21,081 recorded in October last year.
The bulk of the reduction was due to a 53% fall in exports, from 9,281 to 4,330. Domestic production looked healthier, rising by 9%, from 11,800 in October 1994 to 12,814.
Year-on-year figures continue to run ahead of last year—production for the first 10 months of this year rose 8% to 200,835, compared with 186,323 in the same period of1994.
