nURING August, 1962, commercial LI vehicle production totalled 29,792. This figure was an increase on that for July (21,154), but this was expected because the majority of manufacturers took their holidays in July this year.

The number of commercial vehicles exported in August was 9,958 at a value of f8.4 m. Both in volume and value, this represents a drop compared with the figures for the same period of 1961, Over the first eight months of this year the volume exported-105,428—was the second highest ever recorded for the period.
