German Contract: The vehicle manufacturer Henschel-Werke GmbH, of Cassel, West Germany, has signed a licence contract with the Portuguese concern, Sociedade Importsdone de Material Rodoviario, Ltda. (Rodovil), under which Henschel road tractive units will be assembled in Valongo, Portugal.
Portugal Plant : General Motors Portugal. Lda., a subsidiary of the U.S. General Motors Corp., has announced plans for the construction of a car and lorry assembly plant at Azambuja, near Lisbon. More than

New Company: Sociedade Portuguesa Citroen SAVA—is being set up in Portugal with capital subscribed by the French Citroen and Spanish SAVA concerns, together with Portuguese subscribers, for the assembly in Portugal of SAVA lorries and Citroen cars. The plant will be erected at Nangualde, and production is scheduled to start in the middle of next year with an initial production of 10 to 15 vehicles a day.
