PAA N articulated unit, which will be

available as from January of next year, is the Vulcan 6VF, the chassis of which can be fitted with practically any make of semi-trailer. The accompanying picture shows it coupled up to a Carrimore 'retractabletype semi-trailer, having a 22-ft. platform; a pay-load of nine tons can be carried.

The wheelbase of the Vulcan tractor is 8 ft. 6 ins., a measure ment which provides for correct weight distribution. Tyre dimensions are 34 ins. by 7 ins, throughout, and the rearaxle ratio is 9i to I.
