INCREASES in road fund tax —imposed in Mr Healey's Budget—can be passed on in haulage operators' rates as a result of a change in the Prices Code made by the Department of Prices and Con sumer Protection. Following pressure by the Road Haulage Association the Government agreed to make the concession and an order implementing it was expected to be laid before Parliament this week.
