Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A DEVICE that will give in-cab, visual and audible, warnings of tyre deflation has been developed by Mr Frank May, Managing Director of Saunders Transport Ltd, Shepperton, Middx. Only few details are available as, it is understood that, there is a patent pending on the equipment.

Basically an electrical device is fitted to the valve on each tyre and it transmits a signal to a receiver in the cab when tyre pressure falls below a predetermined level. The device will not only indicate that a tyre is losing air, it will also tell the driver which tyre is at fault.

A kit for a typical four-wheeler is expected to cost about £150 and the equipment is easily fitted by workshop staff.
