PIRELLI has signed a E17m contract with Russia to supply equipment and provide technical assistance. Dunlop, the UK part of the Pirelli-Dunlop union, will assist through its Dunlop Angus Industrial Group in the production of hose and rubber components, and will also supply equipment for incorporation into tyre-building machines.
Industrie Pirelli SpA will be responsible for expanding Russia's Balakova factory which will make about 400 different components for 150,000 Kama trucks a year.
