Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ALUMINIUM and plastics are used by Cravens Homalloy (Preston) Ltd in a new range of bodywork for goods requiring insulated or refrigerated transport. The insulated body weighs only 50.8kg (lcwt) per 30.4cm (1ft) and is available in three lengths : 3m (10ft), 42m (14ft) and 4.8m (16ft).

The design is based on the use of a peripheral alloy framework with extruded corner pieces and an inter mediate framework of moulded plastics which helps cut down the number of heat transfer areas between outer and inner skins.

This " framework " is mounted on to alloy J-section longitudinal runners which pick up the chassis manufacturer's standard mounting brackets. It is panelled externally including roof with aluminium sheet riveted and bonded ; internal panels are white pre-painted light alloy. The customer can specify 7.6cm (3in) thick polystyrene or polyurethane insulation.

The internal van floor is alloy treadplate welded into one piece for cleanliness. The single rear door is made up of a one-piece plastics moulding incorporating the inner panel and door edges and is clad externally with alloy sheet. A special lightweight door locking gear is used and a folding rear step is fitted.

Overall width . is 213cm (84in) and buyers can specify inside heights of 175cm (69in), 182m (72in), 198cm (78in) to suit their particular needs.

A standard 3m (10ft)-ilong insulated body costs approximately £1,000.
