Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AN ARTICULATED weighbridge tester has been made by North Midland Truck Engineering Ltd for the South Yorkshire County Council consumer protection department.

The outfit is based on a twin axle Fromco trailer built by Fromant and Son (Trailers) Ltd of Arundel, Sussex, and a Cummins 220-engined Seddon tractive unit; it is provided with hydraulic lifting gear for removal and positioning of test weights.

The test weights, each of 500kg (about 11001b) are carried on the trailer in four rows of 10 (40 weights) and are secured by wooden chocks. A special lifting bar is provided to allow any combination from one to four weights to be lifted and positioned at the same time.

The Atlas 3006L hydraulic crane was chosen for its high performance, low weight, and 6m (20ft) reach. The crane is provided with dual controls. Those on the nearside can be operated from ground level while those on the offside allow the operator to work from the trailer deck.

The Seddon tractive unit was supplied by Philips Truck Services Ltd, Handsworth, Sheffield, and features Interlube Airdromic chassis lubrication and Bostrom driver's seat.
