Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The Highways Agency has launched a free website to help heavy operators plan their journeys.

ESDAL (Electronic Service Delivery for Abnormal Loads) has been designed so that hauliers can get in touch with police and road authority contacts. This means that all the relevant people can be identified for an entire trip. Previously, operators had to track down every contact individually.

A route-planning system shows the relevant contact details of road authorities and police forces along a given route. The programme will develop over the next year. For more information see! www.highways.gov.uldesdal
