Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The Road Transport Industry Training Board has quickly followed the publication of the DoE's Safety of Loads on Vehicles with the production of a 14-minute film entitled The Next One Might be Yours.

The film serves as an introduction to the DoE safe loading code, and uses models and staged accidents to emphasize the important points. But the RTITB has also produced accompanying notes and slides with which the film can be used as an instructional medium, for instructors as well as drivers and operators.

It explains the approach to safe loading, the way to spread weights properly and the methods and tonnage requirements for load restraint.

For in-scope firms the film costs £40 to buy, or it can be hired at £2 for 48 hours and £3 for 1 week. Details: Public Relations Dept, RTITB, Capitol House, Empire Way, Wembley, Mddx. •
