M lcolm Harrison is holding two weekend auctions signalling the end of two long established hauliers.

n 25 June at Penrith, Cumbria 311 Henderson Sr Sons (Haulage) will be selling off its nine-strong ERF tract r fleet plus SDC and Montracon trailtirs.The sale has been brought on due to retirement.

While the working trucks make up the bulk of the sale there will also be a 1938 Foden 4x2 dropside, and two 4x2 ERF's with Gardner engines dating from 1969 and 1973.There will also be additional vehiciles from Scotland in Eardley I International colours.

These extra vehicles will consist of two Scan-a Topline tractors; a 2003 R124 470hp 4x2 nd a R144 460 6x2.A 1998-registered Ren ult Magnum 530 4x2 tractor will also be up for grabs as well as two late-year Gray and Adams triaxle fridge trailers.

The second haulier to close its gates is Bon-Accord Transport in Aberdeen.This decision followed a lost contract and retirement.The sale will take place at Market Drayton, Shropshire, on 9 July.

Big sell-off

The auction will include 20 late-year topspec Scania and Volvo tractors and 23 reefer triarde trailers built by Gray and Adams.
