The manufacture of Pirelli's truck tyres is moving from Burton-on Trent to Turkey. Retreading will continue at Burton but there will be around 320 redundancies.

Premier Hazard, manufacturer of vehicle beacons and the like, has been awarded the Queen's Award for Export. It sends its light bars to over 60 countries from Hong Kong to Russia.

PM Tanknology, which can check underground tanks for leaks without emptying them first, has added a fourth test vehicle to its fleet to satisfy demand.
New President
B1PAVER, the tyre retreaders and retreaders association, has appointed Andrew Redman as its new president; Redman is a director of YawLug.
