• A range of battery testers said to reduce maintenance costs dramatically has been launched by Seaward Electronics. The company says that conductance is directly proportional to a battery's capabilities, so a test for the former checks the latter. Cold cranking power can also be calculated.
In doing checks this way the need for timed discharge testing is avoided, leading to a considerable time saving, the company says.
