Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A NEW range of .bodies is being intro duced by Duple Motor Bodies Ltd. for mounting on the Ford R192 and R226 chassis announced this week. Coach bodies for the R192 are to be produced at both the Hendon factory and the Duple (Northern) Blackpool factory, at a basic cost of £3,670. 1 he former type is named Empress and the latter Viscount, and give the coach operator a straight choke between the reversed sloping pillar design associated with Hendon-built bodies for several years, and the largebay. straight-pillar windows found up to now only on the larger Blackpool-built Commander hotly. Both coaches scat 45 passengers in standard form, and incorporate the same restyled frontal design below waist level, with an attractively shaped grille formed of anodized mesh with a stainless-steel surround. All exterior mouldings are of stainless steel, with a straightforward flash common to both model s. Rosewood-coloured Formica is employed for the interior lining panels in both coaches.

A 52-passenger body is fitted to the 36-ft. Ford R226 chassis, and is of Hendon design with sloping pillar above the rear wheels. Frontal styling and side flashing are identical with that of the Empress body, Basic body price is £4,040, and the model is named the Mariner. Optional extras on all three coaches include fixed windows and forced ventilation throughout, with individual jet vents; these con tinue to be employed at the rear of the normal Hendon-built bodies.

Service coach and bus bodies are also being built on the new Ford 'chassis— these bodies are produced at the Duple Group's Willowbrook factory in Loughborough. The same distinctive basic lines are used for both versions of the Willowbrook model, with additional mouldings in stainless steel on the service coach version. Standard seating capacity for both the bus and the coach is 45 passengers on he R192 and 53 passengers on the R226. An inward-opening coach door is fitted to the service coach, and manually operated jack-knife doors on the service bus. Express coach seating is employed in the service coach bodies, with sponge rubber fillings to both seats and backsquabs, and moquette and PVC trimming. The service bus has tubular-framed seats with sponge-rubber cushions and rubberized hair filling for the squabs, with plain PVC trimming. Toughened safety glass is used for all glazing on both bodies. Full-length solid-base luggage racks are standard equipment in the express version, and can be fitted to the bus at extra cost. .Again a, luggage locker is standard equipment at the rear of the service coach, and an optional extra on the bus.

Basic price of the 45-seat bus body is £2,780; the 53-seater costs £3,025 basic.
