Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Keywords : Pugh, Cardiff

• The fourvehicle/fourtrailer licence held by Haultech (Cardiff) has been revoked by South Wales Licensing Authority John Mervyn Pugh.

The company had failed to appear at a Cardiff public inquiry. Mervyn Pugh said that last March it had applied to change its nominated transport manager to a Mr Owen, but no further information was supplied and in August he was told that Owen was no longer the transport manager.

He also understood that the company was currently the subject of an investigation by the police and traffic examiners following a series of alleged offences in April 1991.

Mervyn Pugh warned that should Haultech seek a fresh licence in the future, consideration would have to be given to whether or not it met the requirement to be of good repute.
