• A two-day Health Service Transport seminar is being held on 27-28 February at the Norbreck Castle Hotel, Blackpool.
The seminar has been arranged by Transport Consultancy & Training Services, in response to concern that Health Authority managers are not sufficiently aware of their obligations since Crown Immunity was lifted in April 1991, which means they are now required to comply with drivers' hours and tachograph regulations.
Speakers at the seminar will include a spokesman from the Department of Transport's Traffic Area Co-ordinating Division.
