UWILL be remembered that just over a year ago we promoted eenempeti; amongst coachccleivers with a-view to ascertaining from them-directions in which improvements could be made in motor coach design and censtruction, This competition brought forth a-host of suggestions, some of which were practical, and some which were not, and, in the main, the trend of ideas was divided under three headings; these being concerned with the comfort and convenience of the driver, the comforteand convenience of 'passengers, and improvements which chiefly affected theefficieney of

the vehicle as a whole. .

The driver's and the users points of view upon improvements of this sort are always valuable, and it is for this reason that we draw the attention of. coach Owners to the competition which is being run by James Bartle and Co., Ltd., Lancaster Road London, W.11, who, in their desire to .obtain the opinion of actual users of motor coaches tipen certain important points relating to both construction and running, are offering a 1,200 motor coach as a prize.

The competition is extremely simple, and merely consists ire giving replies to a series of seven questions dealing with motor coach design and Other features associated with the industry. The entrance fee is 58., and the winner of the B. T -type Thortiyeroft chassis, which is fitted with a brand new Bartle-built 18seater body, will be the person who answers all the questions most nearly in accordance with the majority view.
